Sustainability

Biocross Sustainability Policy puts its projects, processes and operations into practice, highlighting its socioeconomic and environmental responsibility.

Anticipation
and Prevention

Acting preventively, aiming to avoid process failures, work accidents, health risks, environmental pollution and minimizing negative social and environmental impacts.

Applying a prior risk management analysis, impacts and opportunities in the environmental, social and economic aspects in all investment projects and operations in the company. Investing in and use technologies that allow – at a compatible cost – to maximize the eco-efficiency, safety and sustainability of production processes, commercialized products and modes of transport.

Legislation
as Basis

Acting in full compliance with the legislation and other applicable requirements and seeking continuous improvements that lead us, in all areas where we operate, to progressively surpass international standards in health and safety, working conditions, environmental management, labor relations and respect for human rights.

Organization
and Discipline

Working in an organized and disciplined manner, adopting rigorous planning, execution, monitoring and corrective action practices, seeking the responsible and efficient use of natural resources. In terms of product liability, encouraging the use and recycling.

Respect
and Ethics

Maintaining an ethical and transparent posture in all business activities and relationships. Seeking excellence in our management, operational processes, product quality and relationships with stakeholders. Disseminating sustainable action in our production chain. Adopting global sustainability standards and practices, respecting the sovereignty of the local legislation.

BiocrossSupport

Currently, Biocross do Brasil Fertilizantes is a participant in the social project called “Empresa Amiga da Amazônia”. We have received the Eco-friendly Seal for supporting a social project by Cia Têxtil de Castanha, in Castanhal (state of Pará), in partnership with Ecobags Brasil, which involves 15,000 riverside families in the Amazon region who take care of planting, harvesting, spinning and weaving Jute, aiming at the sustainable development of one of the neediest regions of Brazil, maintaining hospitals, day-care centers and schools. All work is certified by international organizations, following strict standards of healthy work.
